What this work is, and what it isn't
The work I offer is depth-oriented and meaning-centred. It is not a structured programme with a fixed endpoint, but a sustained conversation that gradually makes it possible to understand what's actually going on beneath whatever brought you here.
The foundation is logotherapy, a framework concerned with meaning, identity, and how people make sense of their lives. This kind of work takes longer than short-term approaches. The aim is not only to reduce symptoms, but to understand the deeper structure of experience that produced them, and gradually reorganize it. The result is often something more durable: a clearer sense of who you are and what truly matters to you.
Sessions are conducted online, in English or Slovene, with clients based in the Netherlands and across Europe. For those who prefer to meet face to face, in-person sessions are also available at a studio in Leiden.

What people bring to this work
There isn't a required level of distress for therapy to be worthwhile. Some people arrive in genuine crisis. Others arrive with something less defined — a persistent flatness, a relationship slowly fraying, a sense that life has quietly stopped feeling like their own. Both are valid.
The concerns I work with most often include anxiety that intensified after a move; identity and belonging questions that relocation tends to surface; relationship difficulties; grief; trauma; depression; and the directionlessness that arrives when the structures a person built their life around no longer apply. If you're uncertain whether your situation fits, the first session is the right place to find out.
How sessions work in practice
Sessions are 50 minutes, weekly, and take place online via a secure encrypted video platform, or in person at a private studio in Leiden. The first session is offered at a 50% discount — a chance to talk about what's brought you here and to see whether this feels like a space worth returning to. No preparation needed, no obligation to continue.
For couples I offer sessions of 75 or 90 minutes. I work with a small number of clients at a time, which means each person's process gets the attention it requires.
