How I handle your personal information

Trust is the foundation of therapeutic work. That extends to how your personal information is treated — not just inside sessions, but from the moment you first make contact.

This page explains what information this website collects, how it's used, and what rights you have in relation to it. If anything here raises a question, you're welcome to write to me directly at info@ontara-therapy.nl.

What information is collected and why

When you contact me through the website form, by email, or via Signal, the information you provide — your name, email address, and phone number where relevant — is used for one purpose only: to respond to your inquiry and, if appropriate, to schedule and conduct sessions.

Your data is not used for marketing. It is not shared with third parties. It is not sold, transferred, or used for any purpose beyond what's described here, except where required by law.

Data usage and storage

All personal information is stored securely and retained only for as long as necessary to provide services or to meet the legal and professional obligations that apply in this field.

Everything is handled in accordance with the GDPR and the professional confidentiality standards required in this field.

A note on Signal

If you choose to make contact via Signal, please be aware that while Signal uses end-to-end encryption, communication through any external application involves a third-party provider. By initiating contact through Signal, you consent to your contact data being processed through that channel.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to the personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected, to restrict how it's processed, or to have it deleted. To make any of these requests, you can write to me at info@ontara-therapy.nl. I'll respond as promptly as I can.

Questions

If you have any questions about how your information is handled, or if something here isn't clear, please get in touch directly.
